Why Dance?

There are few things that have remained a common element of culture among the human race, but the art form of dance as proven its lasting presence and power since the beginning of time. Dance is a language we all recognize; an essential expressive exchange of emotion and idea through body movement. Throughout centuries dance as taken on different imagery from primitive dance, to the vigorating African and Australian aborigine tribal dance, to folk and ballroom dance, to the graceful arabesque of a ballerina, to taping of the feet and shaking of the hips in jazz clubs, to choreographed stories on broadway, to break dancing in the streets of an overcrowded inner city. This art form is so essential to the human being because it allows us to communicate in a way that words cannot express. Of all the genres of dance, the angelic expressive praise dance does more than emotionally provoke the audience but spiritually connects the dancer to God.

Praise Break Studio instructors understand the benefits of connecting with God in the form of dance and are passionate about sharing this gift with the residents of St. Louis.  Praise Break connects with people who desire for their children to experience dance, build a relationship with God, and pay well below the average studio prices. This is more than dance, it is a ministry!  Through love and acceptance we aim to build our students one dancer at a time.

Thank you for joining us on this journey!

God bless,

Erica
